Joe's Gutters & Patios is Greater New Orleans' most trusted name for seamless aluminum gutter installation, aluminum patio covers, screen rooms, and custom outdoor aluminum structures. We're a family business — Derel and his crew have been protecting Louisiana homes from rain, heat, and storm damage for over 25 years. Every job is personally supervised. We never send subcontractors. You deal directly with the owner from estimate to completion.

Why It Matters

Why Gutters Are Non-Negotiable in Louisiana

Greater New Orleans receives over 62 inches of rain per year — among the highest rainfall totals in the continental United States. That's nearly double the national average. Without a properly installed, maintained gutter system, that water has one place to go: straight down your walls, into your foundation, and under your slab.

The consequences in Louisiana are different from anywhere else in the country. Shifting soil, high water tables, and the constant cycle of heavy rain and intense heat create conditions that will destroy an inferior gutter system within a few years. We've seen it thousands of times — miter-strip corners that separate, low-quality sealant that cracks in the Louisiana heat, hangers spaced too far apart that allow the gutter to sag and pull away from the fascia. That's why we do things differently.

Gutter Repair & Maintenance

Leaking joints, sagging sections, separated corners, failed sealant, loose hangers — we diagnose the root cause and fix it properly. We don't patch over problems. If a section has failed structurally, we'll tell you honestly whether repair or replacement makes more sense.

Leaf Guards & Gutter Protection

Louisiana's live oaks, pine, cypress, maple, and magnolia trees are beautiful. They're also a constant source of gutter debris year-round. Our leaf guard systems keep debris out while allowing rainwater to flow freely — eliminating the need for routine cleaning in most cases.

How Joe's Gutters Are Different

Hand mitered corners — not miter strips. Every corner on every gutter we install uses a hand mitered joint, not a caulked miter strip. Miter strips are cheaper and faster. They're also what fails first. Our hand-mitered corners are permanently sealed with a high-performance, moisture-curing polyether sealant designed to flex, bond, and withstand the elements—outlasting traditional caulked joints.

Neoprene washer screws — not standard sheet metal screws. Every fastener we use has a neoprene washer that creates a watertight seal at the fastening point. Standard screws leave an entry point for water. Ours don't.

Properly spaced hangers — not minimum code. We install hangers at 30-inch intervals or closer. The industry minimum is 36 inches. Our gutters stay level, stay secured, and stay performing for years longer as a result.

Premium-grade sealant — not the cheap stuff. Louisiana heat degrades sealant fast. We use a premium-grade sealant rated for UV and thermal cycling — the same conditions that destroy interior corners on cheap gutter jobs within 2–3 years.

Spectra Gutter Systems and Senox material — custom-cut on-site. Every gutter run is custom-formed from coil stock on your property, cut to your home's exact measurements. No joints in the middle of a run. No weak points. One continuous piece.

FAQs

Common Questions From Homeowners

  • Do you offer free estimates?

  • How long does gutter installation take?

A standard residential gutter installation on a typical Greater New Orleans home (1,200–2,000 sq ft, single story) takes half a day to a full day. Larger homes or complex rooflines take longer. We provide an accurate time estimate when we schedule the job.

  • Do you do commercial projects?

We focus on residential projects for homeowners. We do not take on commercial or industrial work. This keeps our quality high and our scheduling reliable for the homeowners we serve.

  • Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — Louisiana contractor license #CL.65670 (expires 10/23/2027) and fully insured through State Farm ($2,000,000 general liability and workers' compensation). We can provide proof of insurance before any job begins.

  • Do you offer financing?

Yes — we've partnered with leading lenders to provide flexible payment options. You can prioritize your home's safety and value today with a monthly plan that fits your financial goals.

  • What warranty do you provide?

All new gutter and patio cover installations are covered by our 2-year workmanship warranty on labor, alongside the manufacturer's 15-year warranty on premium aluminum materials. If anything we installed fails due to workmanship, we come back and make it right — no charge.

  • Do you handle insurance claims for storm damage?

Yes — we work with homeowners after hurricane and storm damage. We can assess damage, provide documentation for your insurance claim, and handle the repair or replacement work. Call (504) 813-4293 immediately after storm damage — we prioritize storm calls.
